Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site position in Dammam for a Transportation Salesperson. The role focuses on generating new business, maintaining existing customer relationships, and promoting the company’s transportation and logistics offerings. The salesperson will spend time prospecting and meeting potential clients, preparing and delivering quotations, discussing pricing and service terms, and following up until deals are secured.
The job also requires close coordination with operations and dispatch teams so that service commitments are delivered as promised. In addition, the person in this role will monitor shipment progress, handle customer issues in a timely manner, and keep detailed records in CRM or sales systems. - Develop strong working relationships with new and existing customers through consistent follow-up and account support.
- Promote the company’s service offerings and present tailored quotations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate pricing, service levels, and contract terms to close business deals effectively.
- Coordinate with operations and dispatch teams to ensure service delivery matches client expectations.
- Track shipment movement and respond quickly to any customer concerns or service issues.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer interactions, and pipeline updates in CRM or other tools.
- Prepare routine sales reports and share market or competitor insights that may affect strategy.
Requirements
- Experience in transportation or logistics sales, including lead generation, prospecting, and deal closure.
- Good customer handling skills with a background in negotiation, presentation, and relationship building.
- Understanding of freight, logistics, or transportation operations and how to match services to customer needs.
- Comfort using basic digital work tools such as email, spreadsheets, and CRM or sales applications.
- Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written; Arabic knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in the field, manage time well, and achieve sales goals.
- Professional attitude, integrity, and a customer-first approach.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a similar field is preferred, though relevant sales experience can replace formal education.
