Role overview

This opportunity is being shared for a partner organization that oversees all applications and subsequent hiring steps. The hiring company is seeking a Transportation Logistics Specialist in Ireland.

You will operate in a dynamic, international technology setting, taking responsibility for sophisticated logistics activity tied to the movement of high-value IT hardware across Europe and other regions. The role centers on coordinating shipments of servers, racks, and data center equipment between suppliers, warehouses, and data center sites, while supporting complex cross-border supply chain activity across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. This is a hands-on and strategic position that demands accuracy, flexibility, and strong coordination with multiple stakeholders. You will work closely with engineering, procurement, and data center teams in a highly technical global environment, contributing to infrastructure that supports modern AI-driven systems.

Key accountabilities

  • Own the full transport cycle for IT hardware, including servers, racks, and data center equipment on domestic European routes, inbound international shipments from Asia, outbound freight, and movement linked to Israel.
  • Handle air and ocean freight planning, from carrier evaluation and booking to scheduling and shipment tracking, with the goal of secure, on-time, and damage-free delivery.
  • Coordinate return merchandise authorization and reverse logistics, working with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to manage returns and replacements correctly.
  • Keep continuous visibility over live shipments and take action quickly to address delays, transit disruptions, and other exceptions across multiple lanes.
  • Maintain precise in-transit inventory records, chain-of-custody documentation, and complete shipment history in logistics systems.
  • Prepare and manage customs paperwork and clearance activities for international shipments, while staying compliant with EU and global trade rules.
  • Partner with data center and operations teams to enable just-in-time delivery, staging, and deployment of equipment.
  • Track logistics spend, review invoices, process vendor payments, and identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and outside partners so logistics execution matches deployment timelines and business needs.
  • Create backup plans and refine routing approaches to strengthen continuity, efficiency, and resilience across operations.
  • Monitor logistics performance indicators and use data to support ongoing process improvement.

Required background

  • At least 5 years of experience in transportation, freight forwarding, logistics coordination, or supply chain operations, preferably in technology, hardware, or data center environments.
  • Hands-on experience managing freight across Europe and internationally, including air, ocean, LTL, FTL, and multimodal transport.
  • Working knowledge of EU customs rules, import/export procedures, and cross-border compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing shipments of high-value or sensitive equipment such as servers, racks, or IT infrastructure hardware.
  • Familiarity with RMA and reverse logistics processes.
  • Experience with logistics platforms such as TMS tools, Jira, or similar systems for tracking shipments and maintaining records.
  • Strong organizational ability with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in documentation and execution.
  • Clear communication and stakeholder management skills in international, cross-functional settings.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and stay productive in a fast-moving, remote-friendly environment.
  • English fluency is mandatory; additional European language skills are beneficial.
  • Must be based in Europe and eligible to work in the EU; experience with logistics involving Asia, especially Taiwan, and Israel is a strong advantage.

Benefits and other information

  • Pay is competitive and aligned with experience and market standards.
  • Opportunity to contribute to major infrastructure programs that support the global AI ecosystem.
  • Flexible, remote-friendly setup with a high degree of independence and ownership.
  • Learning and career growth opportunities in a fast-changing technical domain.
  • Exposure to international supply chains spanning Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
  • A collaborative, high-performing culture centered on trust, accountability, and innovation.
  • Work with advanced technologies and logistics systems operating at scale.
  • An inclusive workplace committed to equal opportunity principles.
