Position Overview
This contract role involves working remotely as an Australian English Language Expert, reviewing and improving machine-generated transcriptions to ensure linguistic precision and accuracy. The position requires recording transcriptions using a clear Australian English accent and collaborating with the client team to enhance AI language data reflective of authentic Australian English usage.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and correct automated English transcription outputs to maintain high language quality standards.
- Perform audio recordings by reading transcribed texts aloud with a natural Australian English accent.
- Assist in refining AI language datasets to accurately represent everyday Australian English expressions and speech.
- Work closely with the customer’s team to offer feedback and insights regarding transcription quality and audio guidelines.
- Exhibit exceptional attention to detail in reviewing textual and audio materials to identify and rectify inconsistencies or errors.
Essential Requirements
- Native-level proficiency in Australian English, both spoken and written.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Australian English phonetics, pronunciation, and diction.
- Experience with transcript revision, specifically identifying and correcting inaccuracies swiftly.
- Clear and confident voice delivery suitable for recording purposes.
- Ability to perform duties autonomously within a quiet, distraction-free setting.
Compensation and Commitment
The role offers remuneration between $15 and $25 per hour, with a workload ranging from 10 to 40 hours weekly. The work is fully remote, allowing flexibility in location.
