About the Role
Join ODEG, the largest private railway in Eastern Germany, transporting 33 million passengers annually. We offer a comprehensive 13-week training program designed for career changers, providing essential knowledge and practical skills for a successful transition into the rail industry under the guidance of seasoned instructors.
Training Details
- Program commences on September 7, 2026 and spans 13 weeks.
- Theoretical sessions conducted in Berlin, with practical assignments in ODEG’s service areas.
- Curriculum includes railway industry fundamentals, use of electronic information systems, conflict and stress management, English for the workplace, understanding DB AG and Berlin/Brandenburg public transport tariffs, passenger communication (including on-board announcements), and accompanied practice rides.
Profile & Requirements
- Completion of at least secondary education (Sekundarabschluss I) or a recognized vocational qualification.
- Possession of a qualification under Section 34a GewO or as a security professional is a plus.
- Excellent German (B2 level minimum for non-native speakers).
- Good physical fitness.
- Strong customer service orientation, personal responsibility, and reliability.
- Eligibility for a training voucher from the Employment Agency or other sponsor.
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, flexibility for travel, and holding a Class B driving license is desirable.
