Job description

About the Role

This opportunity is for a meticulous construction surveyor to support an international luxury development and construction portfolio. The position involves traveling to active project sites around the world to carry out technical surveys, track construction progress, and confirm that built conditions match the approved architectural and engineering documents.

The right person will bring strong hands-on surveying expertise, clear documentation habits, and the independence needed to work across different countries and project settings.

Responsibilities

  • Survey newly acquired land and development sites before construction begins, recording terrain, existing infrastructure, boundary lines, elevations, and current site conditions.
  • Visit active projects on a monthly basis to complete as-built surveys and assess construction progress.
  • Check completed work against architectural drawings, engineering plans, BIM models, and approved construction records.
  • Spot differences, technical inconsistencies, tolerance issues, and other construction risks between the design and what has actually been built.
  • Prepare detailed survey documentation, progress updates, measurement records, photo logs, and technical notes for internal technical and management review.
  • Work with architects, engineers, project managers, contractors, and consultants to keep execution aligned with design intent and quality expectations.
  • Keep project records accurate, including status updates, milestone progress, and all survey data for active developments.
  • Contribute to quality assurance by checking construction accuracy, dimensional compliance, and adherence to project specifications.
  • Use current surveying tools and software such as GPS/GNSS systems, total stations, drones, laser scanning equipment, CAD, and BIM-related applications.
  • Travel frequently across international locations to inspect and supervise multiple luxury construction projects.

Requirements

  • A degree or technical qualification in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in construction surveying, as-built verification, or site inspection, ideally in high-end residential, hospitality, or luxury developments.
  • A solid grasp of architectural and engineering drawings, construction methods, and technical project documentation.
  • Comfort using surveying instruments and software platforms.
  • Ability to compare actual site conditions with design documents accurately and with a high level of precision.
  • Strong analytical thinking, organization, and report-writing capabilities.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate with international, cross-functional teams.
  • Readiness to travel extensively worldwide.
  • Fluent English is mandatory; additional language skills are an advantage.

Additional Information

This role is part of a global luxury project environment and requires regular international travel across multiple active developments.
