Overview
An established precision engineering manufacturer is seeking a skilled TIG Welder Fabricator to join their production team. This full-time and permanent role offers the chance to work within a modern workshop environment producing high-precision stainless steel components for various industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel components and assemblies.
- Carry out MIG welding tasks as required.
- Fabricate components by interpreting engineering drawings and production documents.
- Ensure all finished products meet the required quality and dimensional standards.
- Continuously inspect work during the manufacturing process.
- Contribute to process improvements and development of tooling and fixtures.
- Assist in maintaining workshop equipment and uphold a safe, organized workspace.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet production goals and deadlines.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant will have a solid background in fabricating with a passion for engineering quality. They must be detail-oriented and capable of interpreting technical drawings precisely, with a practical mindset for problem-solving and teamwork.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in TIG welding, specifically on stainless steel.
- Previous fabrication experience in engineering or manufacturing settings.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
- Effective communication skills and a cooperative attitude.
- Eagerness to learn advanced manufacturing methods.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with MIG welding.
- Background in sheet metal fabrication.
