Your Role
We are looking for a skilled Packaging Strategist to lead creative thumbnail designs across multiple channels, including Roblox, Minecraft, and Reaction content. A strong grasp of what makes thumbnails enticing for varying audiences and staying current with children’s pop-culture trends is essential.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed creative briefs for thumbnail designers ensuring messaging consistency.
- Analyze YouTube metrics to assess content performance and optimize thumbnails.
- Monitor competitors and trending thumbnails to stay abreast of industry developments.
- Collaborate closely with designers via project management and communication platforms like Monday.com and Discord.
- Apply Photoshop skills for final thumbnail touch-ups and enhancements.
- Integrate up-to-date children's trends to keep thumbnails engaging.
- Work alongside the writing team to ensure thumbnails align with video content.
- Provide precise feedback to refine thumbnail appeal and representativeness.
- Stay informed about developments in children's entertainment industries.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for innovative thumbnail ideas.
- Collaborate across teams to maintain brand consistency.
Requirements
- 1-2+ years of experience crafting thumbnails with proficiency in Photoshop.
- Demonstrate knowledge of visual design principles including composition and color theory.
- Portfolio or samples showcasing versatility in thumbnail design styles.
- Strong communication and accountability in team collaborations.
- Capability to meet deadlines and adapt swiftly to changes.
- Receptiveness to constructive feedback to improve output quality.
- Experience with YouTube Analytics, understanding metrics such as AVD, CTR, and impressions.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- In-depth understanding of what drives thumbnail clickability.
- Active team participation with good communication skills.
- Familiarity with Minecraft, social media, and related pop-culture trends.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience managing a personal YouTube channel.
- Previous work alongside major YouTube creators in thumbnail creation.
- Background in other Minecraft or YouTube-related roles like Builder, Editor, Animator, or Actor.
