Lake Macquarie Private Hospital is recruiting for a permanent full-time Theatre Night Cleaner.
Role Summary
This position sits within the domestic services team at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital and may involve working in either the wards or the operating theatres. The main focus of the role is maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards, with particular emphasis on the operating theatre department. You will be part of a collaborative team committed to safe, high-quality patient care.
Key Duties
- Keep wards, theatres, and other assigned areas clean to a consistently high standard.
- Clean, replenish, and properly store equipment used during shifts.
- Carry out laundry tasks such as washing, folding, and moving linen and other laundered items when needed.
- Maintain a courteous, helpful, and team-oriented approach at all times.
- Work closely with nursing staff and other stakeholders to support quality clinical outcomes.
- Carry out assigned tasks with support from the Hotel Services Manager, Department Manager, Team Leaders, and Shift Leaders, while aligning with hospital values and Ramsay Health Care’s direction.
Skills and Experience
- Reliability, punctuality, and a genuine commitment to friendly customer service.
- Previous hospital experience is helpful but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and people skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Understanding of HACCP, workplace health and safety, and infection control requirements.
- Background in cleaning services.
- Ability to work well as part of a large team.
- Careful attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
