Role Overview
Unilever is seeking a Territory Sales Officer for field sales operations in Bihar, with flexibility on location preferred. The role focuses on improving sales performance, managing distributor operations, and strengthening market presence through direct market engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet sales goals by visiting the market, carrying out personal selling, and supporting distribution growth.
- Oversee the distributor network, covering both front-end and back-end operational setup.
- Review MIS reports regularly to spot gaps and opportunities that can improve execution and overall performance in the assigned territory.
- Work with distributors on negotiations and help build their customer management capability to increase business.
- Build and maintain trade relationships to support market positioning, while also sharing market insights and feedback with the branch team.
- Identify ways to improve competitiveness in the market through stronger customer service.
- Track distributor and distributor sales team performance closely and take corrective action where infrastructure or execution gaps are found.
Requirements
- A full-time graduate degree is mandatory.
- At least 2 years of experience in channel sales is required.
- Strong ability in ROI calculations and retail/distributor sales management.
- Working knowledge of sales route planning and retail sales appointment processes.
- Capability to run promotional activities and handle execution on the ground.
- Comfortable using MS Office, especially Excel.
- Good communication skills in English and the local language are preferred.
