Role overview
Unilever is seeking a Territory Sales Officer for West Bengal. The position focuses on driving sales performance, strengthening distribution, and improving execution across the assigned geography.
Core responsibilities
- Meet sales targets by actively covering the market, engaging in personal selling, and expanding distribution.
- Oversee distributor operations, including both front-end and back-end support structures.
- Review MIS reports regularly to spot gaps, identify opportunities, and improve execution in the assigned territory.
- Work with distributors, guide their teams on customer handling, and support efforts to generate additional business.
- Build and maintain trade relationships to reinforce market presence and share market insights and branch updates.
- Assess ways to improve market competitiveness through stronger customer service.
- Track distributor and distributor sales team performance closely and take corrective action where infrastructure gaps exist.
Requirements
- A full-time graduation is mandatory.
- At least 2 years of experience in channel sales is required.
- Strong ability in ROI calculations and RS distribution management is needed.
- Hands-on knowledge of RS appointment and sales planning is expected.
- Experience in running promotional activities and ensuring proper execution is required.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, is important.
- Good communication skills in English and the local language are preferred.
