Role Summary

The Terminal Manager will oversee the daily functioning of the Whitehorse terminal and the nearby service area.

Key Duties

  • Manage everyday terminal activities in Whitehorse, Yukon, including customer service and administrative work.
  • Maintain health and safety standards across the site.
  • Ensure facility upkeep and vehicle maintenance needs are completed.
  • Make effective use of equipment and staff while meeting or surpassing service expectations.
  • Track and manage daily reporting, coordinate work schedules for terminal operations, and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Partner with Human Resources on hiring, training, coaching, and disciplinary matters.
  • Operate a company truck as part of the role.

Qualifications

  • A Class 1 licence would be considered an advantage.
  • Post-secondary education would be an asset.
  • Previous experience in customer service is required.
  • Background in LTL operations and labor management is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of health and safety practices is needed.
