Position Overview
Join Invited Clubs as a Tennis Professional, delivering exceptional service through the Club's Three Steps of Service to members and guests. This role involves organizing and conducting tennis clinics, private lessons, and fostering club participation while promoting tennis memberships. Serving as the Tennis Ambassador, you will enhance the club's value and report directly to the Director of Racquet Sports or Head Tennis Professional.
Primary Duties
- Assist members with their tennis needs, ensuring adherence to club policies and procedures.
- Conduct private and group tennis lessons and drills, catering to various skill levels.
- Plan, manage, and promote leagues, round robins, drop-in sessions, ladders, tournaments, and related events.
- Develop and advocate tennis clinics and programs for adults, juniors, and seniors, including private lessons.
- Engage new members by providing tennis facility orientations and program information.
- Maintain tennis courts professionally, ensuring a safe and well-kept environment.
- Maximize use of tennis facilities to boost member retention and attract new memberships.
- Complete daily assignments maintaining club standards and Star Service FOCUS expectations, such as organizing work areas and managing equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver outstanding service proactively and effectively.
- Address member or guest complaints promptly, applying service recovery techniques when necessary.
- Interact professionally with members and guests, accommodating changes and last-minute requests as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support colleagues by undertaking various tasks as circumstances require, promoting teamwork.
- Participate in club functions and tennis committee meetings.
- Comply with all operational standards, policies, and procedures as outlined in club manuals and communications.
- Maintain effective communication skills with proper grammar.
- Manage multiple tasks under pressure with an attentive focus on detail.
- Uphold safe work habits and ensure others do likewise across all areas, including kitchen environments.
- Attend daily staff line-ups and contribute actively as requested.
- Adhere to uniform standards by wearing a clean and neat uniform consistent with ClubCorp and property guidelines daily.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Tennis Professional.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Certification from the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) is mandatory.
- Completion of required tennis instruction training.
