Tenders & Grants Specialist

About the role

This is a permanent full-time position that can be based from any GPH Hub, with flexible work arrangements available, including one rostered day off each month.

In this role, you will help secure government and sector funding that supports the launch, growth and long-term delivery of health and mental health programs across the organisation’s expanding footprint.

You will partner with clinical, operational and program teams to turn service models, community needs and evidence-based practice into strong, compliant and competitive tender and grant submissions. The position will suit someone who understands public sector tendering and is driven by helping services reach the people who need them most.

Key duties

• Handle several tenders and projects at the same time while working to competing deadlines
• Work with a range of stakeholders to ensure submissions are evidence-based, aligned to funding rules and lodged on time
• Prepare high-quality funding applications for services and programs that reflect the organisation’s strategic plan and priorities
• Assist with transitioning successful tender submissions to the service establishment team once a contract is awarded

Skills and experience

• Qualifications in business, public health, government, public policy, procurement, social sciences or a related area, or equivalent professional experience
• Background preparing tenders, grant applications, funding submissions, business cases, proposals or similar documents, with knowledge of funding, procurement or commissioning processes
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to prepare strong documents for different audiences in a clear, concise and persuasive style
• Well-developed project management and organisational ability, including the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
