As we rapidly expand to address the housing crisis, we're seeking a passionate, skilled Tenant Relations Officer to contribute significantly to this vision.
Job Location and Details
Position based in Kildare/Midlands, reporting directly to the Housing Manager. The role involves a full-time commitment of 39 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with an annual salary ranging from €45,995 to €59,471.
Role Purpose
The Tenant Relations Officer will provide exemplary tenancy and housing management services for residents within a high-density, mixed-tenure development. The role focuses on fostering sustainable tenancies, engaging residents effectively, and maintaining a safe and well-kept living environment. Working onsite, this position collaborates closely with internal teams to uphold Respond’s values through excellent resident service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage resident onboarding processes, including welcome visits and tenancy signings.
- Regularly review tenancies to ensure compliance and address breaches such as arrears or anti-social behaviors according to established policies and legal guidelines.
- Coordinate with tenancy sustainment and income management units to stabilize tenancies.
- Engage actively as the main on-site liaison for resident inquiries, organizing meetings and community events to encourage participation.
- Promote a respectful, inclusive community culture and monitor communal spaces to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Partner with Assets and Estates teams to manage repairs, maintenance, and site standards, including contractor coordination.
- Identify safeguarding concerns, maintain confidential case records, and work closely with support services to assist vulnerable residents and prevent tenancy loss.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally with rent support, compliance, customer service, and community development teams to provide integrated services and uphold standards.
- Ensure accurate housing management records and contribute to performance reporting and audits.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in tenancy management, housing support, or similar customer-focused public service roles.
- Full, clean driving license with access to a vehicle.
- Proficient interpersonal and communication skills with a strong resident-centered approach.
- Solid knowledge of housing rights, tenancy management practices, and relevant legislation.
- Ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion, empathy, and professionalism.
- Preferred experience working in mixed-tenure or dense housing settings and familiarity with Approved Housing Bodies and social/affordable housing models.
- Exposure to managing anti-social behavior, rent arrears, and safeguarding cases is advantageous.
- Relevant qualification in housing, social care, property management, or commensurate experience; training in conflict resolution and safeguarding is beneficial.
