Job Overview
The bank has an immediate requirement for the position of Teller (Customer Care Executive) across various Bangalore locations such as Doddaballapur, Chikkajala, and Devanahalli. Candidates with over one year of experience in branch banking operations are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
- Identify high volume transacting customers and work to minimize their transaction volume.
- Recognize customers with declining account activities and take necessary actions for improvement.
- Manage Band 1 and Band 2 customer base and transactions by reducing or improving them as required.
- Handle cash receipts and disbursements accurately and ensure transactions occur within set turnaround times without errors.
- Perform cash balancing and bundling duties efficiently.
- Process retail foreign exchange postings, gold sales, and prepaid card transactions.
- Issue demand drafts and merchant cheques promptly within prescribed timelines.
- Carry out funds transfer, fixed deposit closure, and account closure transactions.
- Manage salary upload processing accurately and on time.
- Maintain custody of teller boxes and cheque drop boxes with strict adherence to bank procedures.
- Ensure error-free receipt and payment transactions, including retail foreign exchange processing.
- Act as vault custodian and ensure stringent compliance with security protocols.
- Maintain highest levels of customer service and oversee the outward clearing process.
- Serve as ATM custodian and identify counterfeit cash while complying with bank policies.
- Monitor large fund transfers and report in accordance with regulatory schedules, including updating amounts exceeding ₹1 crore on the portal.
- Regularly identify and close Temporary Overdraft (TOD) accounts and high cheque return customers exceeding thresholds.
- Flag high cash transacting customers with low severity memos to restrict cash transactions and direct them to branch managers when necessary.
- Redirect customers frequently visiting the counter to direct banking channels, including those with high cheque returns or non-maintenance of Average Quarterly Balance.
- Manage local stationeries effectively, ensuring reorder and security stock levels are maintained properly.
- Prepare daily voucher batch tickets and handle administrative bills and payment follow-ups.
- Conduct periodic key exchanges with other branches and vault register checks.
- Manage clearing, collection, and foreign currency cheque processing.
- Monitor ST35 reports and maintain archival backups accordingly.
