Job description
About Audika
Audika operates as part of Demant, a global hearing healthcare organisation that provides solutions and services designed to help people with hearing loss stay connected and communicate more easily. The wider group employs around 26,000 people across more than 30 countries and supplies hearing healthcare and smart audio solutions in over 130 countries.
In Australia, Audika runs more than 200 clinics delivering hearing services to clients nationwide. The company is focused on keeping hearing care high on the healthcare agenda and improving quality of life for people living with hearing loss.
About the role
This Telehealth Clinician position combines remote work with clinic-based support. The routine is split into three weeks working from home and one week providing in-clinic support at the Port Augusta clinic. The arrangement gives you flexibility while still allowing regular face-to-face clinical involvement and ongoing professional growth.
Working within Audika’s audiology team, you will operate independently to support HSP, DVA, private, and insurance clients. The role involves hearing assessments, prescribing and fitting hearing solutions, and offering expert guidance to help achieve the best possible client outcomes.
You will also have access to modern hearing aid technology from several leading manufacturers, which will help you create tailored solutions and deliver strong clinical results. This is a strong opportunity for an audiology professional who wants to make a positive difference while contributing to a supportive, forward-thinking team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver full adult hearing services, including wax removal where needed; training can be provided if required, for clients from HSP, DVA, private, and insurance backgrounds.
- Carry out detailed hearing assessments and use clinical judgement to produce accurate diagnostic outcomes.
- Recommend appropriate hearing aids and fit them carefully to suit each client’s individual needs.
- Take part in local area marketing activities that help increase awareness of the organisation’s hearing services.
Candidate profile
You are likely to succeed in this role if you bring audiology experience, a solid understanding of hearing device products, and the ability to work confidently with a varied client base. A QP qualification and active membership with a recognised audiology peak body are required, along with a strong commitment to promoting hearing health.
Commercial awareness is important, including a history of achieving and exceeding KPIs. You should also be a compassionate communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients.
What’s on offer
- A competitive remuneration package made up of salary plus a share of profit.
- A flexible working model that combines home-based work for three weeks and clinic-based work for one week.
- Opportunities for professional development.
- Access to the MyRewards program, offering discounts with more than 400 retailers and service providers across Australia.
- Access to an online wellbeing centre with activities, workouts, meditations, and nutritional and financial advice.
- Employee Assistance Program support.
- Novated leasing.
- Birthday and Christmas gifts.
Recruitment process
The hiring process is structured to help both sides learn more about each other and includes four stages:
- Application review by the Talent Acquisition team against the role criteria.
- Online interview with the Talent Acquisition Partner to discuss your background, career goals, and expectations.
- In-clinic interview with the Hiring Manager to meet in person, explore the role further, and visit a clinic.
- Interview with a Clinical Trainer, including a case study discussion to assess your clinical thinking and problem-solving approach.
