Telecommunications Manager (5G & GSM) - Sporting Event

Role Overview

This position involves leading the planning, deployment, and management of 5G and GSM mobile networks for a major international football event held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The contract extends from August 31, 2026, to February 28, 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the development, installation, and day-to-day operations of 5G and GSM network infrastructure at tournament venues and stadiums.
• Collaborate effectively with Mobile Network Operators, vendors, and various stakeholders to maintain robust network performance.
• Oversee network status, evaluate capacity, and ensure superior service quality throughout the event timeline.
• Manage the execution of network testing, commissioning phases, rehearsals, and operational readiness protocols.
• Guarantee compliance with all technical standards, security policies, and service-level agreements.
• Lead the resolution of network issues promptly to support live event operations with minimal disruption.
• Compile detailed technical reports, necessary documentation, and perform comprehensive post-event analyses.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in managing 5G and GSM network operations effectively.
• In-depth understanding of mobile network technologies, radio frequency planning, network optimization, and telecommunication infrastructure.
• Prior involvement in large-scale events, stadium deployments, or critical infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
• Capability to oversee multiple stakeholders, vendors, and network operators simultaneously.
• Strong communication, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience supporting international sporting events will be considered an asset.
