Role Overview
The Containers Platform team is responsible for developing and maintaining BNZ's Kubernetes platforms, facilitating hundreds of engineers to build, deploy, and operate applications efficiently across cloud environments such as AWS and Azure. Additionally, the team manages associated container platform technologies within BNZ's broader container ecosystem.
The core objective is to minimize platform complexity, automate processes where possible, and develop self-service tools that accelerate engineering team productivity. This includes managing Kubernetes, container registries, automation tooling, and developer enablement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, operate, and enhance Kubernetes platforms hosted on AWS and Azure cloud infrastructures.
- Automate platform-related operations including provisioning, patch management, and compliance workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex challenges affecting platform reliability and performance.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to promote platform adoption and develop self-service functionalities.
- Contribute to defining platform standards, author related documentation, and provide engineering guidance.
- Lead initiatives to improve platform security, stability, automation, and the developer experience.

Required Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in Kubernetes administration and operational management.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and/or Azure.
- Strong familiarity with container technologies including Docker and OCI-compliant containers.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation of deployments.
- Knowledge of GitOps principles and tools such as Helm and Kustomize.
- Ability to script and automate tasks using Bash, Go, or similar languages.
- Experience with observability tools and monitoring platforms.
- Understanding of networking, security concepts, and troubleshooting within platform contexts.
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and VMware virtualization.

Additional Information
