The Role
Our nutrition division delivers scientifically-driven products across all age groups, assisting growth, health maintenance, and strength. Established brands such as Similac®, PediaSure®, Pedialyte®, Ensure®, and Glucerna® serve millions globally.
As Technical Services and Engineering Manager, you will oversee engineering, facility operations, utilities, capital projects, and maintenance at the site. Responsibilities include planning and executing both immediate and long-term capital investments, liaising with corporate divisions, governmental bodies, and representing the site as a senior leadership member.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead site engineering, maintenance, utilities, and capital projects, developing asset care roadmaps to ensure reliability.
- Collaborate with business functions to innovate and implement maintenance and engineering solutions that enhance productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency.
- Attract and nurture a diverse, qualified team via training, succession planning, and constructive feedback, promoting engagement and inclusion.
- Develop strategic capital plans to supply the site with infrastructure that meets capacity targets, overseeing project quality and objectives.
- Build and maintain cross-functional relationships to resolve challenges and drive optimal solutions across Abbott.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant corporate policies, laws, and regulations.
- Set short- and long-term engineering and maintenance strategies fostering innovation and ongoing improvement.
- Oversee contractors and vendors managing site work.
- Manage departmental financial performance aligning with budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Administer site capital and expense plans effectively.
- Guarantee uninterrupted utilities provision to site operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Environmental Science, Technical discipline, or related area; Master’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and adeptness at stakeholder engagement.
- Proven capacity to oversee multiple engineering projects within complex settings.
- Highly organized, technologically proficient, and efficient at prioritization.
