About the Role
Join ABB and contribute to creating a leaner, cleaner industrial landscape. As a Technical Service Specialist with a focus on Advanced Process Control (APC), you will drive plant optimization efforts across UAE, Kuwait, and Pakistan. Reporting to the Automation Engineering Manager, you will deliver services according to ABB standards and safety protocols, ensuring customer satisfaction. Your role involves providing specialized technical support, solving expertise-specific challenges, and proactively engaging with customers and sales teams to meet needs and identify business opportunities.
Key Duties
- Lead Optimization and APC projects from initial site surveys and benefit assessments through modelling, commissioning, and achievement of value realization.
- Execute service projects at customer facilities and coordinate with ABB Product teams within the UAE, Kuwait, and Pakistan regions.
- Identify and communicate tangible benefits of optimization solutions, balancing technical excellence with customer value and business priorities.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support and problem resolution within your specialization across various service categories.
- Develop and tailor service applications, tools, and methods to cost-effectively respond to evolving customer requirements.

Candidate Requirements
- Proven track record in successfully implementing advanced process control and energy/process optimization projects within Energy and Process Industries.
- Competency in presenting APC, process, and energy optimization concepts as clear value propositions and technical specifications to customers.
- Experience with plant optimization solutions leveraging APC and performance optimization software to enhance processes, reduce energy use, and lower emissions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of plant optimization technologies.
- Strong passion for customer engagement and excellent communication abilities.
- Academic qualification in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline, with experience in Oil & Gas, Power, and Water sectors.
- Proficiency in English for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
