This position is office-based in Kolkata with extensive travel across West Bengal and other designated areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate leads for projects including ETP, STP, WTP, RO, UF, DM Plant, Softener, and ZLD systems.

  • Develop business within industries such as steel, mining, power, textiles, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, healthcare, hospitality, railways, and infrastructure.
  • Conduct client meetings, initial site surveys, and detailed technical discussions.
  • Gather relevant data such as water analysis reports, flow rates, operational hours, and site conditions.
  • Collaborate with proposal, process design, and project execution teams to prepare technical and commercial proposals.
  • Present appropriate water treatment technologies and solutions to customers and consultants.
  • Follow up on quotations, clarify technical and commercial queries, negotiate terms, and finalize orders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with consultants, contractors, architects, project management consultants, and industry bodies.
  • Maintain organized records of leads, site visits, inquiries, quotations, and expected orders.
  • Meet or exceed assigned monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets.
  • Coordinate payment follow-ups with clients as needed.
  • Attend Kolkata office regularly and participate in sales and pipeline review meetings.

Candidate Profile

  • Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in technical sales, industrial sales, or project sales.
  • Preferred experience in water/wastewater treatment, environmental projects, pumps, process equipment, or industrial machinery.
  • Basic understanding of systems like ETP, STP, WTP, RO, UF, DM Plant, Softener, and ZLD.
  • Ability to interpret water analysis reports and basic process parameters.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
  • Willingness for frequent client visits and extensive travel.
  • Capacity to work independently and develop new client relationships.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, email, and sales reporting tools.
  • Possession of a personal two-wheeler and valid driving license is advantageous.

Territory and Work Conditions

  • Based in Kolkata with responsibilities across West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, North-East India, and other designated regions.
  • This is a field-intensive role requiring presence at the office regularly; remote work is not applicable.
  • Daily plans for client visits and end-of-day reports are mandatory.
  • Utilization of GPS-enabled tracking for client visits and meetings is required.
  • Each visit must be documented including customer details, discussions, and upcoming actions.
  • Frequent outstation travel is expected.
  • Work territory may extend beyond immediate residential location depending on business needs.
  • Performance metrics include qualified enquiries, quotation submissions, sales pipeline development, and order conversions rather than just the volume of visits.
