About Toshiba JSW Power Systems
Toshiba JSW Power Systems Private Limited is a collaborative venture between Toshiba Corporation, Japan and JSW Group, India, focused on manufacturing and marketing super-critical steam turbines and generators for thermal power plants in India. Established in 2008 and commencing operations in 2011, it has merged with Toshiba Thermal & Hydro Power Systems to provide comprehensive engineering, manufacturing, procurement, construction, and service solutions for thermal power plants. The facility is based in Manali near Chennai and aims to produce steam turbines and generators from 500MW to 1,000MW designed for highly efficient super-critical plants.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate various machinery including Horizontal Machining Centers (HMC), Planer Dividing Machines (PDM), Vertical Machining Centers (VMC), Special Purpose Machines (SPM), and Horizontal Boring Machines (HBM).
- Work efficiently on large manual milling machines with responsibilities for slot milling procedures and heavy job setting and machining.
- Set up and handle milling and drilling tools with precision.
- Utilize measuring instruments and tool presetters correctly to ensure machining accuracy.
- Develop and interpret NC programs, particularly with Fanuc control systems, contributing to precision machining tasks.
- Apply strong analytical and technical abilities to solve operational challenges.
Essential Requirements
- Hands-on experience operating HMC, PDM, and HBM machines.
- Proven skills in NC programming and tool setting.
- Familiarity with machine controls including Fanuc and Siemens systems.
- Experience working in tool room environments with 4 to 8 years of relevant practice.
- Educational background in Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in Mechanical Engineering.
