Job description
Role Summary
Join Adani Ports and SEZ as a Team Member in Finance & Accounts located in Gandhidham, Gujarat. This position involves overseeing financial planning, analysis, statutory compliance, and team guidance within a large organizational structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate preparation, approval, and periodic review of annual Operational Expenditure (Opex) and Capital Expenditure (Capex) budgets.
- Track and assess monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue and profit, identify deviations, and recommend corrective measures to management.
- Assist business units in evaluating Capex investment decisions.
- Ensure preparation of monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports and facilitate their review by business teams.
- Oversee preparation and scrutiny of financial statements.
- Analyze expenses and receivables to recommend improvements.
- Manage cash flows and make decisions on short-term investments.
- Ensure compliance with internal audit findings and reinforce internal control mechanisms.
- Facilitate timely completion of statutory audits and implement corrective actions based on audit remarks.
- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements including Service Tax and EPCG redemption.
- Lead and motivate the finance team through effective communication and coaching.
- Stay updated on finance field advancements and adopt relevant modern technologies to enhance departmental functioning.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- 4 to 6 years of professional experience in finance and accounts, preferably in a large organizational setup.
- Proven expertise in preparing balance sheets and managing statutory audits.
