Role overview
The FAST Team Member supports stores across an assigned district by traveling between locations and completing variable tasks from beginning to end. This includes work such as building and setting planograms, assembling merchandise and fixtures, and maintaining signage. The role also involves direct interaction with customers and store team members while helping deliver a standout shopping experience.

The position calls for a dependable, flexible, and service-focused team member who can adapt to business needs and keep work moving efficiently across multiple stores.
- Show up consistently and reliably for scheduled shifts.
- Be available for changing hours, days, nights, and overtime based on business demand.
- Keep the District FAST Supervisor informed about completed work, any issues, and practical solutions.
- Accurately complete planograms and store resets within required timeframes.
- Maintain strong visual merchandising standards throughout assigned stores.
- Take store measurements as needed and help execute layout changes.
- Carry out cycle counts with accuracy.
- Handle the Tractor Way top cap process and install store signage.
- Assemble merchandise, fixtures, and PDQs.
- Complete recovery work carefully and check planogram integrity.
- Provide excellent customer service using the GURA approach: greet customers, identify needs, suggest products, and show appreciation.
- Support peak periods when extra coverage is needed, including major shopping days such as the day after Thanksgiving.
- Take on other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and experience
Previous experience in retail or merchandising is required. Knowledge of farming, ranching, pets/equine, or welding is an advantage. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, though not mandatory. Regardless of education level, the person in this role must be able to read, write, and count accurately.

Working conditions
Work is generally indoors in a moderate-noise environment, although the role requires travel between store locations using a personal vehicle. Shifts vary by store and are typically at least 4 hours long, though they may extend beyond 8 hours. Employees must be comfortable spending long periods on hard indoor and outdoor surfaces and follow all company safety training and guidelines to help maintain a productive and safe workplace.
Physical requirements
- Travel as required to support district needs
- Push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with material handling equipment such as a pallet jack
- Occasionally lift or reach overhead
- Frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders
- Access all parts of the store, including the selling floor, side lot, stock area, and register area
- Continuously use store equipment such as a computer, cash register, and related tools
- Read, write, and count accurately for documentation
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers
- Handle and work around birds/poultry
- Complete all required training successfully
- Operate equipment needed to run a store, such as a dolly, hand truck, forklift, baler, computer, and cash register; forklift and baler duties do not apply to those under 18

- Lift up to 50 pounds and move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds across the store
- Stay active throughout the entire shift
