Role overview
Ampol is looking for a retail team member for its Belmont store in Western Australia. The role sits within a convenience retail environment where the focus is on helping customers quickly and courteously, whether they are refuelling, collecting essentials, or making a brief stop.
As part of the store team, you will contribute to smooth day-to-day trading by keeping the site well presented, managing stock efficiently, and handling transactions accurately. The position also requires a strong focus on service, safety, and dependable shift-end reconciliation.
What you will be doing
- Provide a welcoming customer experience and aim to go beyond basic service standards.
- Assist the Store Manager with everyday retail operations.
- Work cooperatively with fellow team members to support store performance.
- Maintain careful attention to safety, accuracy, and store presentation.
- Be available for a rotating 7-day roster, including weekends and overnight shifts when required.
What you need
Applicants should have some prior experience in retail or customer-facing work. You must be comfortable using point-of-sale systems, handling cash correctly, and balancing transactions at the end of a shift. Good communication, a collaborative mindset, and flexibility across varied rostered hours are important for success in this role.
