Role Overview
The Christchurch team is hiring a reliable and enthusiastic Team Leader to support cleaning operations at site level. This position is full-time and fixed term, covering sick leave until 4 August 2026. The roster runs Tuesday to Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and the pay rate is $26.00 per hour.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-moving environment, take pride in maintaining high cleaning and hygiene standards, and have strong attention to detail while creating a welcoming environment for clients and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and assist a small cleaning team on a daily basis.
- Plan and coordinate tasks so deadlines and service level expectations are consistently achieved.
- Set priorities effectively when work is under pressure.
- Allocate duties, carry out spot inspections, and confirm work is completed to standard.
- Guide and mentor team members to improve performance and confidence.
- Participate in and oversee routine cleaning activities across the store/site.
- Track cleaning rotations and support delivery of client KPIs.
- Follow company policies and safety requirements at all times.
- Look after cleaning equipment and ensure all tools remain in good working order.
- Handle client feedback and respond to requests professionally.
- Maintain rosters and arrange shift cover when needed.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
- Act quickly and appropriately in the event of accidents or hazards.
About You
- You have solid hands-on cleaning experience.
- You have prior experience supervising or managing a team.
- You communicate clearly in both speaking and writing.
- You are well organized and manage time effectively.
- You can handle client relationships professionally.
- You are confident training and coaching others.
- You understand cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
- You are familiar with health and safety rules and procedures.
- You can work on your own while handling confidential information appropriately.
- You have basic knowledge of computers and phone applications.
- You are able to verify certain job-related requirements.
- You understand TBT training, roster management, and stock ordering.
- You have supervisory and specialist skills suited to the role.
- You must have valid work rights in New Zealand.
