About the role
Greater Wellington is seeking an experienced resource management leader to head its Consents and Compliance function in Masterton. This is a permanent position in a modern office, overseeing a team of eight and working across the wider resource management space, from strategic regulatory settings through to enforcement.
The role supports the Council in carrying out its duties under the Resource Management Act 1991 and related legislation. You will work in a collaborative leadership environment focused on enabling positive environmental outcomes and supporting people to succeed.

About you
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in resource management and planning, along with the confidence to mentor others through complex consenting and compliance matters. You should be comfortable supporting teams through legislative shifts, skilled in relationship management, and known for a practical, solutions-oriented approach.

The role offers remuneration of NZ$112,028 to NZ$168,043 inclusive of benefits, with a midpoint of NZ$140,035. Final pay will depend on the selected candidate’s skills and experience. The organisation is also an accredited Living Wage Employer.
