About the Role

Waimakariri Libraries are more than just places to borrow books—they serve as vibrant community centers where individuals connect, learn, celebrate culture, and discover new opportunities. We are looking for a motivated and inspiring Libraries Team Leader for Community & Culture to lead a passionate team dedicated to delivering impactful programs, events, and services to our communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a committed team focused on delivering outstanding community experiences.
  • Establish and nurture meaningful partnerships with community groups and aligned partners within and beyond the district.
  • Advocate for forward-thinking, inclusive services that engage diverse and underrepresented populations.
  • Support and promote programs empowering youth, strengthening community bonds, and celebrating cultural heritage.
  • Contribute to shaping the strategic direction of library services in a growing district.
