Team Leader - Aircraft Interiors

Role Overview

The position involves leading and managing the Interiors Furnishing Shop to ensure compliance with the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), GCAA CAR Part V, and EASA Part-145 regulations. The role focuses on maintaining safety, quality, and effective maintenance execution by overseeing team performance and operational efficiency.

Key Duties

• Supervise daily activities of the Interiors Equipment Shop, ensuring all maintenance and refurbishment align with approved OEM data and regulatory standards.
• Efficiently plan and allocate manpower resources according to workload demands to achieve production and turnaround time targets.
• Monitor workmanship quality and apply controls to avoid deviations in processes.
• Review and verify job cards, maintenance documents, and records for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure availability, serviceability, calibration, and certification of tools, equipment, and materials as per company and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Stores departments to coordinate workflow.
• Identify resource and manpower gaps, escalating recommendations to prevent disruptions in production and turnaround.
• Support management during internal, external, and regulatory audits.
• Promote a culture of safety and enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) compliance within the workshop.
• Train, mentor, and assess assigned staff to uphold competency in following approved procedures and standards.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing shop efficiency and quality.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and adherence to 5S principles within the workshop.
• Assist in capability development and preparing the shop to meet maintenance requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• Preferably have formal training in aviation quality systems and safety management.
• Fluent English communication skills are essential.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in aviation maintenance workshops, including supervisory or leadership roles within an MRO environment.
• Exposure to regulatory audits such as GCAA, EASA, and FAA, and compliance with MOE requirements.
• Strong understanding of MOE, GCAA CAR Part V, and EASA Part-145 standards.
• Excellent team leadership, operational risk management, communication, documentation, and decision-making capabilities.
• Overall 7 to 9 years of relevant experience.
• Holding a GCAA/EASA Part-66 License and company authorization is preferred.

Information Security Requirements

Adherence to company Information Security policies is mandatory. The role requires reporting any vulnerabilities or incidents to line management or the Information Security team, completing required awareness training, and following all security guidelines in daily operations.
