Job description

About the role

Join a fast-moving learning team that designs practical, business-focused e-learning experiences for a global audience. The organization operates across more than 60 countries and is known for its demand generation work, with an internal academy that builds both internal and external online education. The team values experimentation, storytelling, AI-enabled learning, and solutions that help people grow while supporting business outcomes.

This position is for a strategic and growth-minded Team Lead, Learning and Development who can keep instructional design work organized, coordinate across departments, and help the team turn plans into smooth execution. The role combines leadership, project coordination, stakeholder communication, and hands-on instructional design work.

L&D approach

The learning strategy focuses on practical, measurable education aligned to both learner needs and company goals. Most learning products are self-paced and asynchronous, with support from AI-powered tools and immersive simulators. The team also experiments with storytelling methods inspired by engaging media experiences to make learning more memorable and effective.

Core duties

  • Work with instructional designers to plan learning projects, keep timelines realistic, define responsibilities, and make sure deliverables are completed in a supportive team setting.
  • Convert project plans into actionable task lists and follow up on progress throughout the team.
  • Act as the primary liaison for internal teams and external stakeholders, maintaining clear communication and aligned expectations during each stage of delivery.
  • Track approval and review cycles closely and proactively chase updates so projects continue moving forward.
  • Assist with people coordination by allocating work according to skill match, monitoring workload, and flagging capacity issues when needed.
  • Take ownership of a small number of e-learning projects yourself in the role of an instructional designer.
  • Support communication around training launches, including messaging for internal audiences and client-facing stakeholders.
  • Help improve team processes so collaboration is stronger and Academy operations can scale more effectively.

What the company is looking for

  • At least 3 years of experience in a mid- or senior-level instructional design role, or a closely related learning and development position.
  • At least 1 year of experience coordinating teams, leading work, or managing projects in learning or a similar field.
  • Strong comfort with AI tools; experience building custom GPTs and applying scalable AI solutions across teams is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build productive working relationships while supporting change inside teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to connect and work effectively across internal and external groups.
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to work.
  • Flexibility to adapt plans when priorities change.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to keep work progressing while maintaining a positive team environment.
  • Strong English speaking and writing skills.

Hiring process

  • Applications are reviewed manually against the role criteria, with a commitment to giving each candidate individual attention.
  • Selected candidates may be asked to complete a video interview for the hiring manager’s review.
  • A test or short project may follow to assess fit for the team.
  • Shortlisted candidates are invited to speak with the hiring manager and/or interview panel live, either in person or over Zoom.
  • The company does not conduct interviews by text message or Telegram and does not extend offers without a live conversation.
  • If both sides are interested, the final step is an offer discussion.

Perks and benefits

  • Work with a dynamic team that values innovation in learning.
  • Take part in training initiatives that have global reach and impact.
  • Opportunity to grow your career in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Exposure to modern e-learning tools and learning design approaches.
  • Access to strong professional development resources and marketing insights.
