We are seeking a motivated and experienced leader to serve as Team Lead for Land Information Memorandum (LIM) services. This role is crucial in overseeing the accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of LIMs and property files, ensuring adherence to legislative requirements, and supporting the Council’s statutory disclosure duties. The position involves managing customer and stakeholder expectations while ensuring the community receives a dependable and high-quality service that facilitates informed property-related decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the LIM Officers team by establishing clear expectations, accountability, and promoting high performance and discipline.
  • Manage workload, quality control, timeliness, and performance of the team.
  • Coach and develop team members through feedback and personalized growth plans.
  • Provide daily leadership and strategic oversight on workflow, quality assurance, risk management, and statutory compliance.
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for complex or high-risk LIM and property information cases, offering technical guidance and decision-making.
  • Ensure consistent, reliable, and professional standards are maintained in all information outputs.
  • Maintain integrity and appropriate disclosure of property file information, identifying and mitigating gaps or inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate across Council departments to foster timely and accurate contributions toward property information.
  • Drive ongoing improvements in LIM and property file processes by leveraging performance data and implementing initiatives that enhance efficiency and quality.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in information management, regulatory practice, planning, law, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Over 7 years of customer service experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience in regulatory or statutory information environments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of legislative and disclosure obligations related to LIMs and property files, including the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act (LGOIMA).
  • Experience managing high-volume or high-risk workflows, quality assurance, and operational risks.
  • Competence in utilizing performance metrics and reports to guide decision-making and enhance service delivery.
