Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong Tax Manager to play a pivotal role within our finance department. You will take autonomous responsibility for managing tax and accounting matters, enhancing processes, and actively contributing to our company's financial stability and compliance at our headquarters in Berlin.

Main Responsibilities

  • Taking full responsibility for tax-related matters focusing on income and value-added taxes.
  • Preparation and review of VAT returns and ensuring compliance with VAT regulations, including international aspects.
  • Supporting the preparation of tax declarations and liaising with external tax consultants.
  • Serving as contact person during tax audits and supporting external tax inspections.
  • Analyzing and implementing new tax laws and requirements.
  • Collaborating closely with accounting and coordinating with international units such as shared service centers and the corporate group.
  • Ensuring and improving tax compliance processes.
  • Tax assessment of business transactions and projects.
  • Working with accounting to tax-evaluate the annual financial statements under German commercial law (HGB).

Qualifications and Experience

  • Completed degree specializing in taxation, e.g., business administration, finance, accounting, or related fields.
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in taxation within companies or tax advisory firms.
  • Strong expertise in German tax law, especially in VAT and income taxes.
  • Experience cooperating with external consultants and tax authorities.
  • Ideally familiar with international corporate environments and digitalization of tax processes.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Structured, independent working style combined with a strong understanding of processes.
  • Excellent command of German and good English skills.
