About the role
EY is hiring a Staff-level professional to support its Record to Report (R2R) function in Bengaluru. This role contributes to core accounting operations and helps ensure accurate, timely, and compliant reporting across accounting processes.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with R2R work such as posting journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting activities.
- Make sure processing follows applicable local statutory rules and accounting standards so that errors and compliance gaps are avoided.
- Work within agreed process steps and deadlines to ensure reports and schedules are completed on time.
- Maintain and refresh dashboards used to monitor R2R progress and the status of multi-country assignments.
- Respond quickly and clearly to questions raised by clients and internal teams.
- Partner with colleagues to spot process enhancements and efficiency improvements.
- Take part in training and workshops to strengthen R2R knowledge and capabilities.
Functional and technical requirements
The role calls for hands-on experience in R2R, especially in at least one of these areas: journal entry processing, account reconciliations, or financial reporting support. Candidates should have exposure to process transitions and the ability to adjust to new tools or systems. A working understanding of accounting processes is needed, while familiarity with IFRS or US GAAP will be a plus.
Strong Excel skills and good command over MS Office tools are expected. Experience with ERP platforms such as Microsoft D365, SAP, or similar finance systems is preferred. The position also requires solid organization, initiative, a quality-focused mindset, and the ability to work with limited supervision. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a willingness to learn and adapt, are important.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a B.Com or M.Com degree, or be pursuing ACCA/CA Inter, and should have 1 to 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
