Role Overview

Under the supervision of the Manager, Talent Acquisition, the Talent Recruiter is entrusted with the task of sourcing, engaging, and securing candidates by leveraging a variety of HR tools and social media channels. The role involves fostering strong networking relationships and contributing to recruitment efforts across all company divisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment cycle for assigned client teams, including candidate screening, shortlisting, and conducting interviews both in-person and virtually, collaborating closely with hiring managers.
  • Build and maintain robust business partnerships with clients to ensure delivery of superior recruitment services and high client satisfaction.
  • Clarify role requirements with hiring managers to align candidates with job expectations.
  • Monitor applicant activities and recruitment statistics via applicant tracking systems and CRM platforms.
  • Utilize applicant tracking solutions, professional networks, and social media to drive sourcing campaigns, engage passive candidates, and execute recruitment projects.
  • Advise on innovative sourcing strategies to attract passive and qualified candidates.
  • Work collaboratively with Talent Acquisition leadership to develop data-driven attraction methods for present and upcoming recruitment needs.
  • Maintain and expand a pool of promising candidates for current and future job openings.
  • Support Air Canada's dedication to cultivating a diverse workforce.
  • Engage in ongoing training to stay updated with departmental and organizational developments.
  • Occasionally travel to participate in recruitment events and activities.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Degree from a university in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Experience recruiting for technical, large-scale, or managerial positions; national or multi-location recruiting is an advantage.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian labor laws related to recruitment and hiring.
  • Proficiency using MS Office and web-based HR applicant systems such as Taleo, Phenom, or PeopleSoft.
  • Previous experience in recruitment agencies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with employer branding, recruitment marketing, and social media tools.
  • Creative, proactive, and engaging in approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and enhance satisfaction.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility in working hours and capacity to travel as required.
  • This role involves a hybrid working arrangement with required office attendance.
  • Bilingual fluency in French and English is mandatory.
  • Reliable and punctual to support team success in demanding conditions.
