Job description
About the role
IMDA’s Human Capital Cluster within the Digital Industry and Talent Group is focused on building a strong talent attraction strategy for Singapore’s digital economy. This role sits in the Talent Development team, which designs and runs programmes that identify, develop, and connect high-potential talent for the next generation of leaders in the infocomm media sector.
Industry development and partner engagement
You will work with a broad mix of external partners, including multinational corporations, large local companies, startups, SMEs, and overseas employers in major technology hubs such as Silicon Valley. The aim is to understand their leadership talent needs and shape collaboration opportunities through the SG Digital Leadership Accelerator, IMDA’s leadership network for tech and media leaders across initiatives such as the SG Digital Scholarship and SG Digital Leaders.
Programme management
You will help plan, coordinate, and operate key programmes under the SG Digital Leadership Accelerator. This includes SG Digital Leaders, a leadership development track designed to build a pipeline of Singaporean C-suite leaders for the tech and media ecosystem, and the SG Digital Scholarship, an industry scholarship created to grow the next generation of tech and media leaders for Singapore. In this role, you will also support scholars and leaders as a talent partner, including advising them on career growth and progression.
Stakeholder relationship management
The job involves maintaining relationships across IMDA’s leadership talent ecosystem, which includes government agencies, institutes of higher learning, industry associations, and sector champions.
Process improvement and digitalisation
You will contribute to data analytics and process automation efforts that improve outcome tracking and strengthen management reporting across leadership talent programmes.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with a degree and ideally 5 to 8 years of experience in the ICT or media sector, particularly in account management, partnerships, talent development, or talent management. The right person should be comfortable engaging senior stakeholders such as corporate leaders, HR directors, startup founders, and partner agencies. A genuine interest in building leadership talent for the ICT and media industries is important, as is the ability to work with people at all stages of their careers, from fresh graduates to C-suite leaders.
Strong networking ability is needed to build durable relationships with fast-moving companies. You should also bring sound analytical and strategic thinking, good judgment, and a self-driven mindset that can deliver results in a fast-paced setting with limited supervision. Comfort with different technology platforms is expected. Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills are also essential for managing a wide range of stakeholders.
Additional information
This role is part of IMDA’s broader effort to position Singapore to capture opportunities in the digital economy by building a strong pipeline of leadership talent for the infocomm media sector.
