Core duties

  • Create and roll out targeted talent acquisition plans that support both immediate and future workforce requirements.
  • Study the labor market and hiring environment to shape effective sourcing and recruitment tactics.
  • Train hiring managers on competency-based interview practices so candidate evaluations are consistent and reliable.
  • Handle the full hiring lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, extending offers, and supporting onboarding.
  • Work with department leaders to clarify hiring needs and refine job descriptions so they align with business objectives.
  • Use social platforms and professional networks to advertise openings and connect with passive candidates.
  • Track and share recruitment indicators such as time-to-fill, candidate quality, and diversity hiring progress with senior leadership.
  • Maintain a positive candidate journey and collect feedback to keep improving the recruitment process.
  • Stay informed about current trends, tools, and technologies in talent acquisition to remain competitive in the hiring market.

Experience and knowledge required

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, with hands-on ownership of full-cycle hiring.
  • Strong command of competency-based recruitment methods, with proven application in previous roles.
  • Solid understanding of employment legislation, recruitment regulations, and accepted best practices in hiring and candidate evaluation.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruitment software to manage workflows and keep candidate records accurate.
  • Ability to interpret hiring data and use insights to improve recruitment performance and decision-making.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication abilities for working with cross-functional teams and influencing hiring outcomes.
  • Experience building and sustaining relationships with external agencies, professional networks, and industry bodies to widen sourcing reach.

Additional expectations

The role also calls for strong stakeholder management, a proactive approach to sourcing, and the ability to balance multiple hiring priorities at once. Attention to detail, process discipline, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion are important throughout the recruitment cycle.
