Position Overview
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is essential in attracting and recruiting qualified candidates to meet staffing demands. This role manages the full recruitment cycle including job creation, interviewing, background screening, and onboarding. The specialist ensures efficient communication with candidates, maintains detailed recruitment records, and assists hiring managers throughout the hiring process. Strategic sourcing, social media utilization, candidate pipeline development, and compliance with pre-employment requirements are key responsibilities. Internal transfers are also supported to maintain organizational continuity.
Key Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in HR, recruiting, or talent sourcing, ideally in healthcare or home care sectors.
- Expertise in developing large high-quality candidate pools efficiently.
- Thorough understanding of recruitment methodologies, organizational policies, and employment legislation.
- Excellent skills in communication, interpersonal relations, and negotiation.
- Proficient with social media, job boards, and applicant tracking systems.
- Independent, proactive, and skilled at managing multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational abilities with a detail-oriented approach.
- Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute and creativity in sourcing strategies.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license, insurance, and registration if driving is part of job duties.
Responsibilities
- Manage inbound and outbound communication with candidates regarding onboarding and document submission.
- Verify candidate eligibility through Form I-9, E-Verify, background checks, drug testing, and other pre-employment evaluations.
- Ensure all onboarding documents including licenses and identifications are accurately completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain current and compliant applicant tracking records following company policies.
- Design and implement sourcing tactics targeting diverse candidate pools and competitor analysis.
- Identify, interview, and recommend suitable candidates to the recruitment team, collaborating closely with hiring managers.
- Create attractive job advertisements for platforms like LinkedIn, Indeed, Monster, and other relevant sites.
- Monitor recruitment metrics and provide reports to refine sourcing and hiring strategies.
- Support onboarding processes including ordering equipment, setting up accounts, and organizing orientations for new hires.
- Maintain high-quality candidate experience with consistent updates and engagement throughout recruiting stages.
- Facilitate internal employee transfers by ensuring completion of onboarding requirements.
- Execute additional tasks supporting recruitment and organizational goals as needed.
