Role Summary
This position is for a Talent Acquisition Specialist based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is a full-time role with a hybrid work setup and flexibility to work from home on a part-time basis. The person in this role will own the recruitment cycle from start to finish, working closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to identify hiring needs, source candidates, coordinate interviews, and manage offers.
Key Duties
- Run end-to-end hiring activities, beginning with intake discussions and continuing through sourcing, screening, interview scheduling, and offer handling.
- Develop and maintain strong candidate pipelines through proactive search methods, networking, recruitment tools, and social channels.
- Create clear and attractive job advertisements that reflect the company’s culture and strengthen employer branding efforts.
- Support a positive candidate journey by ensuring timely communication and a professional hiring experience.
- Keep recruitment records accurate and up to date.
- Work with internal teams on workforce planning and hiring priorities.
- Guide leaders on effective recruitment practices and current market hiring trends.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven background in full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, selection, and negotiating offers.
- Hands-on experience with hiring processes and interviewing, with the ability to evaluate technical as well as behavioural competencies.
- Experience supporting employer branding and presenting a strong employee value proposition.
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, especially in working with hiring managers and senior leaders.
- Comfort using applicant tracking systems, recruitment reporting tools, and professional networking platforms such as LinkedIn.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with strong attention to detail and a focus on candidate experience.
- Ability to manage priorities effectively in a hybrid working setup across onsite and remote work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience recruiting for technology or professional services environments will be an advantage.
