Job description
Role overview
This position sits within strategic talent intelligence and focuses on building strong, future-ready candidate pipelines for the organization’s most critical and difficult-to-fill skill areas. The role works at the crossroads of market research, relationship building, and data-driven recruiting to help ensure hiring teams have qualified talent ready before roles open.
It is a proactive and research-heavy sourcing role for someone who enjoys uncovering hard-to-find talent, cultivating communities ahead of demand, and turning market insights into practical hiring actions.
What you will do
- Create and run multi-channel sourcing plans to develop ready-now and ready-next talent pipelines for priority and emerging skill areas.
- Find, engage, and convert passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, SeekOut, GitHub, Boolean search, professional communities, industry events, and referral-focused outreach.
- Build and maintain segmented talent pools for niche, high-priority, and hard-to-fill positions, keeping them active and updated over time.
- Carry out deep market mapping and competitive talent research to identify target employers, talent clusters, compensation patterns, and candidate profiles.
- Share ongoing talent market insights with TA leaders and hiring managers, including supply-demand trends, competitor hiring behavior, and new skill requirements.
- Turn research findings into sourcing recommendations that support workforce planning and hiring timelines.
- Work closely with TA leaders, recruiters, and hiring managers to understand staffing plans, headcount forecasts, and changing capability needs.
- Act as a subject matter expert on talent availability and market conditions for assigned critical skill areas.
- Use data and pipeline reporting to help shape sourcing strategy and align hiring expectations.
- Develop long-term relationships with prospective candidates through tailored outreach, sharing relevant content, and ongoing community engagement.
- Support a strong candidate experience at every step so that pipeline members feel valued whether or not there is an immediate opening.
- Keep ATS and CRM records accurate and current, including candidate details, activity logs, and engagement history.
- Monitor sourcing metrics such as pipeline coverage, conversion rates, time-to-engage, and source-of-hire performance.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in talent sourcing, recruiting, or talent acquisition, with a record of building pipelines for technical or other critical skill roles.
- Practical experience using sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, SeekOut, or similar tools.
- Strong Boolean search ability and a track record of finding passive candidates who are not easy to reach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create personalized outreach that gets responses.
- Ability to juggle multiple pipelines, stakeholders, and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Desired background
- Exposure to workforce planning or talent intelligence work.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Beamery, Phenom, or Avature, and ATS tools such as Workday, Greenhouse, or iCIMS.
- Experience with employer branding, talent marketing, or recruitment marketing initiatives.
- Background in a corporate talent acquisition setting, RPO, or high-volume sourcing role.
