About the Role

We are looking for a dependable and skilled System Administrator to oversee and support our organization's IT infrastructure. This includes managing servers, operating systems, virtualization platforms, and enterprise-level applications. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the continuous availability, security, optimal performance, and adherence to IT governance standards of all systems.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
Administer Active Directory, Group Policies, and manage user access controls.
Continuously monitor system performance to guarantee high availability.
Conduct system upgrades, apply patches, and implement security updates.
Manage virtualization environments such as VMware and Hyper-V.
Set up and maintain backup and disaster recovery mechanisms.
Troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and networking.
Keep detailed system documentation and infrastructure diagrams updated.
Ensure compliance with IT security policies and standards.
Liaise with hardware and software vendors for support services.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in system administration.
Proficiency in Windows Server management, Active Directory, DNS, virtualization tools (VMware/Hyper-V), and backup and recovery solutions.
Experience with server hardware and storage technologies.
Understanding of fundamental networking concepts.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
Meticulous attention to detail and ability to document effectively.
Resilience under pressure and good reporting skills.
