About the Role

As a System Administrator specializing in M-PESA applications, you will be responsible for overseeing the full operational support of the M-PESA core system along with its digital channels, ensuring optimal performance and a flawless mobile money experience for users.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the M-PESA core systems effectively.
- Monitor performance metrics and availability of the M-PESA mobile application on Android and iOS platforms.
- Address and resolve issues reported by users, including app crashes and bugs promptly.
- Analyze application data and crash reports through tools such as Firebase or equivalent.
- Handle system incidents, problems, and changes in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders like MPA.
- Maintain system security to safeguard data and services.
- Execute business continuity management strategies.
- Develop, implement, and support M-PESA mini applications.
- Provide support for all M-PESA-related projects, both local and MPA-related.
- Deliver product support for M-PESA services.
Candidate Profile
- Proficient knowledge of operating systems including Unix, Linux distributions (RHEL, SUSE), and Windows.
- Experience managing relational databases such as Oracle, GaussDB, and MySQL.
- Understanding of mobile security best practices.
- Familiarity with Android and iOS mobile platforms, app architectures, and APIs.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Building and sustaining effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Educational qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
- Desirable: Prior knowledge of mobile money platforms, especially M-PESA.
