Role Overview
This position is for a careful and well-organized Swimming Pool Technician based in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on keeping pool operations safe, clean, and efficient by managing water quality, carrying out routine upkeep, and ensuring that all equipment remains in proper working condition for guests and members.
Key Responsibilities
- Check and adjust pool water balance, including pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and related levels, using testing instruments and analytical tools.
- Carry out daily cleaning and upkeep of pool surfaces, deck areas, and nearby surroundings.
- Examine, maintain, and diagnose issues in filtration units, pumps, and other mechanical systems to keep them running efficiently.
- Keep accurate logs of water tests, chemical usage, maintenance work, and repair activities.
- Run chlorination and water treatment systems while following safety requirements.
- Spot equipment faults and complete minor repairs or work with maintenance staff when needed.
- Follow local health, safety, and environmental rules that apply to aquatic facilities.
- Perform regular inspections and preventive servicing to reduce interruptions and downtime.
- Respond quickly to maintenance calls and resolve pool-related concerns in a timely manner.
- Track stock levels for chemicals, supplies, and replacement parts.
Requirements
- Hands-on background in pool servicing, water treatment, or aquatic facility operations.
- Solid understanding of pool chemistry and water quality control.
- Experience working with filtration systems, pumps, and similar mechanical equipment.
- Ability to interpret test results and chemical readings accurately.
- Working knowledge of pool safety practices and regulations.
- Strong documentation and record-management skills.
- Careful, analytical approach with close attention to detail.
- Capacity to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
- Physical ability to perform manual work and handle equipment lifting when required.
- Preferred: Certified Pool Operator certification or an equivalent credential.
- Preferred: CPR and First Aid certification.
- Preferred: Prior exposure to hospitality or resort operations.
