Job description
Role Overview
The Care Technician supports the upkeep of guest rooms, meeting areas, and public spaces in a luxury hospitality setting. The role centers on preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and ensuring all rooms and common areas meet the property’s quality and presentation standards.
Key Duties
- Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public areas, including mattress flipping and inspection, checking box springs, assembling bed frames, and verifying that required hardware and appliances are in place and functioning.
- Clean behind and under furniture, vacuum areas as needed, remove spots from carpets and upholstery, dust surfaces, refresh paint and furniture touch-ups, and inspect or repair grout and caulking.
- Keep guest rooms clean, repaired, and maintained according to the property’s preventive maintenance procedures and standard operating guidelines.
- Handle small repair tasks such as tightening loose toilet seats, replacing bulbs, and patching wall holes.
- Clean guestroom surfaces thoroughly, including tubs, wall tiles, hard flooring, walls, windows, and mirrors.
- Escalate major maintenance concerns, unusual observations, and any safety risks to the supervisor or manager without delay.
- Follow all company safety, security, and operational procedures, including incident reporting and completion of required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a professional appearance, safeguard confidential information, protect company assets, and interact with guests in a courteous, standards-based manner.
- Work collaboratively with teammates, help the team achieve shared goals, and uphold quality benchmarks and service expectations.
- Perform physical tasks that may involve bending, reaching, twisting, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling, and complete other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Less than 1 year of related work experience.
- No prior supervisory experience required.
- No license or certification is required.
