About the Role and Program

KBR supports the U.S. Air Force through the AFCAP V Program by providing Southwest Asia Logistics Support (SWA Log), which includes managing inventory, property accountability, equipment transportation, and coordinating logistics for Air Force missions across Southwest Asia. Alongside logistics, KBR delivers engineering support, leased vehicles, power production, base operations services, and quality-of-life enhancements to maintain base operations.

Position Summary

This Logistics Technician role entails handling property accountability, overseeing inventory, managing warehouse operations, coordinating transport, and operating BEAR equipment yards. The technician is responsible for accurate documentation and tracking of BEAR equipment, Mission Ready Spares Packages, accountable and consumable materials, Airfield Damage Repair assets, tools, and shop equipment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct monthly physical inventories of various equipment and supplies including BEAR kits, MRSPs, R-14 and R-15 items, ADR assets, tools, and shop gear.
  • Compare actual inventories against official records, identifying discrepancies, damages or errors.
  • Update inventory systems and ensure timely submission of monthly reports.
  • Record and track shipments, receipts, transfers, returns, and disposition actions for inventory management.
  • Investigate missing items via inspections, data reviews, and coordination with personnel.
  • Assist with property accountability tasks in support of Primary Equipment Custodian requirements.
  • Prepare and process transfer and turn-in requests and associated logistics documentation (e.g., DD Form 1149).
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments in collaboration with transportation offices.
  • Schedule and execute equipment pick-up and delivery using contractor-provided vehicles.
  • Use barcode scanners, laptops, and inventory software to track tools and equipment.
  • Maintain barcode labels, asset tags, transaction logs, and ensure completion of pending logistics transactions.
  • Oversee organization and segregation of equipment in BEAR yards based on type, condition, and serviceability.
  • Operate forklifts rated at 4,000, 6,000, and 10,000 pounds when certified and needed.
  • Manage disposition requests for unserviceable or excess assets to DLA Disposition Services.
  • Monitor deployed equipment inventories and property transfer actions.
  • Maintain thorough records for all property transactions and report any safety or operational concerns to management.
  • Adhere strictly to installation safety, security, property, and tool control policies.
  • Perform additional logistics and property management activities as directed.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen holding an active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Proven experience in logistics support, including warehouse operations, inventory management, property accountability, and transportation coordination.
  • Skilled in conducting physical inventories and reconciling records.
  • Capable of maintaining detailed electronic and paper documentation related to property management.
  • Familiar with barcode scanning technology, inventory management software, laptops, and standard office software.
  • Competent in preparing logistics paperwork such as DD Form 1149.
  • Certified or able to become certified to operate forklifts with capacities of 4,000, 6,000, and 10,000 pounds.
  • Physically able to lift and move equipment safely within work areas using provided vehicles and manual methods.
  • Previous experience with AFCAP, Air Force, Department of Defense logistics, War Reserve Materiel, or contingency logistics preferred.
  • Knowledge of BEAR equipment, MRSP inventories, R-14 and R-15 property accountability, DLA Disposition Services, and usage of barcode inventory systems like WASP Asset Cloud or equivalent.
