About the Role

Join Six Senses Vana as a Sustainability Team Member to help deliver our vision of reconnecting individuals with themselves, others, and the environment. Embracing our core values of local sensitivity, global awareness, crafted experiences, caring hospitality, and pioneering wellness, you will play a key role in embedding sustainability, wellness, and unique guest experiences throughout the resort.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Sustainability function to ensure ongoing compliance with corporate guidelines and successful implementation of the resort-specific Sustainability Action Plan.
  • Coordinate sustainability programs and collaborate with Human Resources and other departments on related training initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and continuously enhance product and service offerings to align with Six Senses’ wellness and sustainability standards.
  • Lead the revitalization of the Sustainability department, regularly reviewing its adherence to Local Quality Assurance (LQA) standards through onsite presence.
  • Support and guide the team of hosts in maintaining Six Senses’ exceptional service standards.
  • Document all projects and initiatives supported by the sustainability fund with accuracy.
  • Maintain strong relationships with community organizations, government agencies, schools, and tourism groups to foster active community involvement.
  • Engage the local community through sustainability fund projects and educational activities that are interactive and enjoyable.
  • Organize monthly sustainable host events to promote a sustainability culture among the team.
  • Facilitate the property's participation in globally recognized sustainability events such as Earth Day, World Ocean’s Day, and Global Shoreline Clean-Up.
  • Ensure all hosts maintain high standards of personal grooming, hygiene, safety, security, and emergency protocol compliance.
  • Promote clear, effective communication between all departments to support seamless operation of the resort.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and public relations teams to develop strategies supporting revenue growth and brand visibility as outlined in the marketing plan.
  • Conduct all Sustainability activities ethically, legally, and within local regulations.
  • Complete corporate sustainability reports accurately and punctually.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings, training sessions, and fulfill additional duties as assigned by supervisors or directors.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of all Sustainability department equipment.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Sustainability, Communication, or a related discipline.
  • Proficient with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of Six Senses brand standards, operating procedures, facilities, and services.
