Role Overview

The Surveyor will conduct residential property inspections to assess energy retrofitting opportunities, prepare detailed technical reports, and aid in managing retrofit projects aligned with SEAI initiatives such as the Warmer Homes Scheme and Better Energy Homes. The job mixes field visits, technical evaluations, and stakeholder communications.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-installation surveys and property evaluations at residential sites.
• Evaluate insulation, heating, ventilation, and other building services.
• Produce accurate digital survey records and written reports.
• Conduct post-installation inspections and verify quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with SEAI grant requirements and project paperwork.
• Engage professionally with homeowners, installers, and internal teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant construction, building services, surveying, or energy efficiency qualification or practical experience.
• Understanding of residential construction practices, building fabric components, insulation, heating, and ventilation systems.
• Prior work in retrofit, energy efficiency, or construction sectors preferred.
• Familiarity with SR54 and Domestic Technical Standards and Specifications.
• BER Assessor qualification or post-training eligibility for SEAI registration is highly valuable.
• Knowledge of SEAI retrofit programs and residential energy efficiency enhancements would be advantageous.
