Position Overview

We are hiring a Surveillance Operations Manager to work remotely full-time, reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations. This role is vital in maintaining superior investigative services for our diverse client base.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide investigative field personnel and other team members to create and uphold a motivated, quality-driven investigative team dedicated to handling insurance claim investigations, including worker's compensation, general liability, property and casualty, disability, life, and healthcare cases.
• Foster a results-oriented business unit by managing training, monitoring workloads, assigning resources, and handling performance evaluations, development plans, and personnel documentation. Support and exemplify the company's culture while balancing employee and organizational priorities.
• Perform quality control audits on investigative work to ensure compliance with client-specific instructions and timely case completion. Manage cases actively and maintain thorough, well-organized records.
• Maintain clear communication with field staff and clients about case progress, provide recommendations for further action, and keep management informed about field activities and issues.
• Protect the confidentiality of all information obtained through investigations.
• Fulfill additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Comprehensive understanding of investigative methods including surveillance, background checks, activity validations, and locating individuals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills alongside strong interpersonal abilities.
• Highly organized with efficient time management skills, capable of scheduling workloads and utilizing resources effectively.
• Creative problem-solving ability and aptitude for recognizing opportunities for improvement.
• Open to giving and receiving constructive feedback positively.
• Proven success in leading and managing teams effectively.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Explorer, Adobe Acrobat, and case management software.
• Experienced in employing investigative tools and technologies such as video cameras.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related disciplines; not mandatory.
• At least two years of management experience in surveillance investigations, or alternatively, seven years of sustained investigator performance.
• Preferably, a minimum of three years in supervisory roles.
• Possession of a private investigator's license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally as required.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $65,000 annually.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

The role is primarily office-based involving prolonged computer work, with frequent communication via phone, video conferencing, and email. Occasional travel, both short and long distances by car or airplane, may be necessary to meet business demands.
