About the Role

We are seeking two compassionate and engaging individuals to support a lively teenage girl with a disability on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM in Takapuna, Auckland. This role involves helping her enjoy active outings such as visits to the zoo, people watching, wheelchair strolls, and sensory activities, focusing on maintaining a fun and positive atmosphere while providing essential personal support.

Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be part of a collaborative two-person team responsible for assisting with personal care and meal support. They will facilitate outdoor activities and contribute to maintaining a joyful and supportive environment. This role requires adaptability, as some days may present challenges, but teamwork allows sharing responsibilities and overcoming difficulties together.

Requirements

• Availability on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM (flexibility for Sundays may be considered)
• Possession of a full driver’s license with preference for those owning a car
• Calm demeanor, alertness, and a cheerful disposition
• Ability to balance warmth and enjoyment with the serious aspects of care work
