About the Role
As a Hardware Retail Team Member, your main responsibility is to offer welcoming, informed assistance to customers, helping them find suitable products and solutions for their various projects. You will play an integral role in driving the success of the department by ensuring excellent customer experiences, maintaining superior merchandising standards, and keeping stock available and attractively displayed at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet customers, identify their needs, and offer knowledgeable advice on products and solutions.
- Help customers locate items and escalate technical queries to specialized team members as necessary.
- Uphold high merchandising standards through accurate ticketing, neat shelf presentation, product facing, and attractive promotional displays.
- Replenish stock during the day to keep shelves fully stocked, tidy, and shopper-friendly.
- Utilize in-store devices and systems to verify product availability, find locations, and suggest alternatives.
- Assist in managing price adjustments, markdowns, and stock organization tasks.
- Collaborate with the wider team to ensure the Hardware Department remains clean, safe, and well organized.

Skills and Knowledge
- Basic computer proficiency, including using handheld devices for stock queries, sales transactions, and completing online training modules.
- Understanding merchandising practices such as ticketing, planogram adherence, and display setup standards.
- Commitment to expanding product expertise across the hardware range.
- Familiarity with the Consumer Guarantees Act, Fair Trading Act, and company refund and exchange policies.
Additional Information
Candidates must be available to work on both Saturdays and Sundays regularly as part of their schedule.
