Job description

Role overview

This opportunity is for a Supply Planning Transformation Specialist to support a global client’s manufacturing network from Ireland. The role sits within a newly formed deployment team focused on rolling out large-scale supply chain transformation across multiple sites worldwide. It is a fixed-term contract lasting 23 months, with remote working from Ireland and travel within the EU of around 15% to 35% depending on project stage and site needs.

The position plays a central part in introducing updated planning operating models, process improvements, and digital tools. You will work closely with site leaders and cross-functional teams to help each location adopt new ways of working successfully and sustain the changes over time.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the full rollout of supply planning transformation work at assigned manufacturing sites.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for local stakeholders during the deployment journey.
  • Evaluate site readiness and map current processes against the target future-state model.
  • Build and implement tailored plans for deployment, training, and change adoption at each site.
  • Support adoption of new planning processes, operating structures, and digital planning systems.
  • Run workshops, training sessions, and capability-building activities for site teams.
  • Track milestone progress, key metrics, and deliverables to keep the programme on schedule.
  • Spot, manage, and escalate risks and issues when needed.
  • Work with supply chain, operations, manufacturing, and leadership stakeholders to maintain alignment.
  • Help establish durable processes and working practices that continue after deployment is complete.
  • Document lessons learned and feed them into continuous improvement of the wider deployment approach.

Skills and experience

Applicants should bring a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a closely related field, along with 5 to 8 years of experience in supply planning, production planning, manufacturing scheduling, or S&OP environments. Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing settings is important.

The role also calls for a background in supply chain transformation programmes, strong stakeholder influence skills, and experience driving projects without direct line-management responsibility. You should be confident in facilitation, training, coaching, and change management, with solid analytical thinking and problem-solving ability. The position requires someone who can work independently, stay organised, and balance several priorities in a fast-moving environment.

Desirable experience

It would be an advantage to have worked with planning systems such as SAP IBP, SAP APO, SAP ECC, or similar platforms. Formal project management training or certification, change management qualifications, and experience delivering timeline-driven transformation projects across multiple sites would also be beneficial.

Additional details

This is a fixed-term contract role. Travel is expected at approximately 15% to 35%, varying by project phase and site requirements. Interested candidates can submit an application for a confidential discussion. Personal data submitted as part of the recruitment process may be processed for hiring purposes.
